We went to visit the Lory Park Zoo in Midrand on the 6th of January.
They had so many types of animals and different species of bird.
Lion Park
On the 5th of January we decided to visit the Lion Park.
We were greeted at the gate by Gizmo who inspected each of the cars,
We then drove around the herbivore section of the park
We saw buck
and zebra
ostrich
buffalo
We then moved on to the carnivore section of the park
There were the most beautiful white lions
The next section held a pride of fairly young lions
This lion decided to check out the cars
He went right up to the window of the car in front of us to look inside the window
he then thought about what to do next before coming over to our Venture
he was so close to us that this was the only picture we could get of him!
Lastly we went into the wild dog section.
We then headed back to Cub World.
They had aardwolf
Meerkat
baby hyena
baby buck
leopard cub, who was so tired he fell asleep
black leopard cubs
there is an opportunity to feed the giraffes but they were staying out of reach near the trees
they did have a newborn baby giraffe who was only about 2m tall, so cute!

there were the year old cubs
We were allowed into the enclosure to play with the cubs
this 2 month old cub was only interested in chewing my wheelchair
We then went for a delicious lunch at the resturant and while we were there a big thunderstorm blew up and we got totally soaked. It was such a fun day and we all enjoyed it thoroughly!!!
