The Saxon.

July's activity for Lyn was to go to High Tea at The Saxon Hotel and Spa.

On the 18th she, Catherine and another friend sat on the Terrace overlooking the swimming pool where their 3 tiered cake tray  filled with delicious goodies was brought to them as well as an old fashioned tea pot with a chest filled with various flavours of tea.
They spent an enjoyable afternoon there and would definitly recommend the experience!

We were there........

I am starting this blog with the memories of some of the most exciting times in South Africa's history. The World Cup 2010.
It started on the 11 of June at Soccer City and wrapped up a month later on the 11th of July. From start to finish it carried an air of excitement and wonder as even people who have never supported soccer before chose a team and supported them at each match. Every car sported mirror sox of a country's flag and flags flew from business, homes and cars.
Lyn and Alan went to USA versus Slovenia.
Alan went with Gavin, Hermann and a friend Honduras versus Spain at Ellis Park and he also froze watching Denmark versus Japan at The Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
Aunty Yvonne and Uncle Bryan took Marty and Mike with them to Honduras versus Switzerland in Bloemfontein.
Mommy, Lyn, Debbie and Hermann went to the quarterfinal Spain versus Paraguay at Ellis Park.
I got my photo taken with Zakumi, the official mascot.

Everybody had an awesome time and I think we are all sorry that it has now gone.
