Bad Hail Storm in Joburg 15 September

On saturday night a very unexpected severe storm blew up and before we knew it, it started hailing heavily. It caused alot of chaos and destruction around Joburg.

the game at Soccer City has to be postponed after seeing all the hail on the field

even our garden looked like an ice rink

The weight of all the hail on the carport caused it to collapse but luckily it caused only minimal damage.

Cousins Weekend

Jenny and Sean decided to come up to Joburg for a cousin's weekend. It was also lucky that Gavin was up from the Cape to join in the fun. 

They set off for The Lion Park

After a day in the sun it was off to Monte Casino for some dinner.

Everybody seemed to have a great time

Andre Rieu in concert

For Christmas we got Mommy tickets to the Andre Rieu concert at The Dome.

August 17th finally came round and mom and Lyn went along to the concert.

That night's performance was also the 25th anniversary of the JS Orchestra

The show was brillaint with many of the well known classical pieces performed

The Soweto Gospel Choir even joined in for some traditional South African songs such as "Sarie Marais" and "Suikerbossie" much to the delight of the audience.
