Craziest hailstorm hits the East Rand

On Saturday afternoon at about 2pm it started hailing in Midrand - large marble size hailstones and in no time at all the storm had spread along the N3 in a southerly direction. By this time the hail had reached golf and tennis ball size and left a path of destruction in it's wake. Lyn was caught in it just after the Giloolly's Interchange and the poor Caliber was badly dented. So many motorist's windscreens were smashed in and house windows broken.

Alan Runs Jozi

On October 7th it was the 10km Nike Run Jozi marathon. Alan and some friends were part of the 
20 000 runners who participated. Starting off in Katherine Drive, Sandton and running through Alexandra back onto the M1 ( a first for Joburg ) and finishing up at Innisfree Park.
