Holiday to Durban

We decided to take a trip down to Amanzimtoti to spend some time with Aunty Jean before she emigrates to America.
When we left Joburg it was quite chilly but over the course of the journey the weather really started warming up and by the time we arrived in Durban it was 30'c and hot, hot, hot!

We arrived at Aunty Jean's house around 3:30pm and just relaxed for the rest of the day.

The next day Alan and I set off down to the beach
.

It was so quiet that we practically had the beach to ourselves

Looking north from where we were sitting to the main swimming beach

Looking south towards Warner Beach

We spent most of the day there and it was glorious - me enjoying ship watching

The sea was also so very warm and calm that day

We had a perfect view of the Artios Cargo Ship which was waiting for permission to enter Durban Harbour

This picture is terribly blurred but you can see how big this ship was in comparison to the white tanker

We took a drive down to Warner Beach and Winklespruit

A little monkey came to visit us while at Pipeline

We all went to Durban on Sunday to see the new Stadium

Zelda also came around to let us meet baby Mia

Sadly the time just seemed to fly by and before we were ready it was time to return home. It was a lovely holiday and we all had a great time.
