Christmas 2010

We started off the christmas festivities by inviting the family around for christmas eve dinner.

We went with an icy theme, all whites with just a touch of red

These were our favour bags- the men recieved key bottle openers and the ladies got photo frames

For starters Alan made seafood and spinach parcels.
The main course was ham, roast beef and chicken, with coleslaw, waldorf salad, beetroot,
copper-penny noodles, potato salad and green salad.

Dessert was trifle served in these glass jars to look like christmas tree baubles.

Kitsie was exhausted after all the celebrations!

On Christmas Day, bright and early we went round to the Quail house for morning tea, and the annual christmas group photo.

We then headed to the Michelangelo Hotel for lunch in the L'Incontro Ballroom.

Upon arrival we were each given a welcome drink and shown to our table

We were each given a cracker

and then we went to choose our food from a wide array of delicious dishes

There was even a cute little gingerbread house filled with truffles.

After lunch we all had pictures taken at the beautiful trees at the hotel

and then headed home to open our presents

Afterwards we went outside and Gavin decided to open the champagne with a cake knife

which by the way doesn't work very well

it caused the bottle to explode all over

Everybody decided to cool off in the pool afterwards
